Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Paper Shelf ("we", "our", or "the Platform"). By accessing or using thepapershelf.com you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Paper Shelf is a student-run repository of past examination papers intended for educational use by university students worldwide. Access to papers is free.

2. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Upload content you do not own or have the right to share.
  • Upload fake, misleading, or intentionally incorrect papers.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Gain unauthorised access to other accounts or server resources.
  • Use automated bots to mass-download papers.
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable law or university regulations.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension.

3. Uploads Policy

By uploading a paper, you confirm that:

  • You obtained the paper through legitimate means (attending an exam, sharing with classmates).
  • The paper is a genuine past examination paper, quiz, or assignment — not fabricated content.
  • You grant Paper Shelf a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and serve the paper to users of the Platform.

We reserve the right to remove any upload that violates these terms without prior notice.

4. Intellectual Property & Copyright

Examination papers may be subject to copyright held by universities or faculty. Paper Shelf operates in good faith under the principle that sharing past papers for individual study is consistent with fair-use educational practice.

If you are a rights holder and believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@thepapershelf.com and we will promptly review and remove the material if appropriate.

5. Limitation of Liability

Paper Shelf is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to: incorrect paper content, service unavailability, or reliance on papers for academic preparation.

By using the Platform you accept full responsibility for your academic decisions.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
